I’m a Midwestern mother of two, Hunter, Noah, and Larke and the heart behind Birth Roar. My path into birth work began after the birth of my first child, when I became deeply aware of how often birthing and parenting experiences are shaped by inequity, dismissal, and lack of support — particularly for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ families.
My background is in mental health. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and have spent my career supporting people through major life transitions, trauma, and healing. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a Certified Birth Doula, and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, with additional training and experience in perinatal mental health and lactation support.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of mind, body, and milk — supporting individuals and families as they navigate pregnancy, birth, infant feeding, and the emotional landscape of early parenthood.
Whether you’re thinking about becoming parents, currently pregnant, newly postpartum, or somewhere in between, I offer care that meets you where you are. As a doula and clinician, my role is not to take decisions away from you, but to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in the choices that are right for your family.
I support a wide range of birth and postpartum experiences — including hospital-based, medicated, non-medicated, induced, high-risk, and surgical births — and I work alongside partners and families of all kinds.
I believe birth and parenting are deeply human experiences. While they can be powerful and instinctual, they can also be vulnerable, complex, and shaped by past experiences. There is no single “right” way to give birth or feed a baby. What matters most is that you feel respected, supported, and held throughout the process.
This is where your voice strengthens, your confidence grows, and your Birth Roar emerges.
